Who Is The Halal Meat Guy?
The Halal Meat Guy was built from a simple idea: make it easier for families in Western Sydney to get good quality halal meat without the stress.
My name is Khalil "Kenny" Darwich.
I grew up in Campbelltown, and for years getting halal meat meant driving all the way to the Canterbury–Bankstown area.
Fuel, traffic, parking, long lines, waiting for orders to be prepared, sometimes walking away with meat and service that doesn’t match the effort.

I knew there had to be a better way.
A family history in halal meat
My family has been in the meat industry for generations. Back in 1986, my uncles owned one of the first halal butcher shops in the Canterbury–Bankstown area. At the time, halal meat was hard to find.
People had to travel to farms, source animals themselves, and work through limited supply just to get access.
My family were pioneers for halal meat in the area and still continue to serve their community to this day.

Their legacy reminds me that this work matters, and it can be done properly.
My experience:
I’ve been in logistics since I was about 17 and I’m 46 now.
That’s nearly 30 years of learning what people want, how to communicate, and what good service actually feels like.
